I am an applied microeconomist by training, and am currently working as a postdoc in Strategy at the Rotterdam School of Management. My research interest lies in strategic and organizational aspects of innovation, virtual communities and competition in the hi-tech sector. My current research focuses on process of collaboration driving innovation, as well as ways in which the open source / open innovation community can influence scientific progress (such as AI).

I have completed my PhD from the Center for Law & Economics at ETH Zurich in October 2022. My doctoral research studied multiple facets of open innovation, including regulation, virtual team formation and comparative analysis of incentive structures. I particularly focus on collaboration patterns of open-source software developers on GitHub.
